Flighing highland cabers and the weeping moor of Glen Coe breath that I am Clan Morrison. Colors of soot and Zengo Calligraphy speak that I am an artist. I was born  in Texas. Is is undeniably weird that the US and Japan are good friends. Japanese are formal Americans are relaxed. american have never had royalty as a country. The connection was doe to Gen. MacAurther after WWII. I used to carry wood for my dad.

The connection between Japan and the West is mythical. the chrysanthemum is symbolic of the Japanese imperial family. the mountains are symbolic of Japanese tradition. the Turtal is for long life. The Kanji says "One Lifetime One Meeting." this was a zengo by Naosuke Ii who died opening Japan to the West.It is 9" x 12," drawn with pencil and charcoal and completed recently. Newfoundland-Raiders

The MacDonald who was soothed by Luna who was Anna in three Clan-Ranalds and Ian Maur, one of the blue men of Lewis sing the fairy song that I am Clan Morrison.  The clouding of the brain from fixative and the black stains o the hands declares me an artist. Americans know Newfoundland because of those who got stuck there from 911. My Canadian friend said everyone talks like pirates there.
It did not become part of the confederacy until 1945. I don’t like McDonald’s food.

Newfoundland has a special culture full of fairies and the lie but it does not what else I am portraying in the piece. Everything is on the “Rose Flag” which is the regional flag since the 1840s. The Viking helmet and facemask are for the Viking Leaf Ericson who was the probably the first European in the New World as seen at the recreated village of L’Anse aux Meadow. (Yes, I know Viking didn’t have horns on their helmets, but this is identifiable; likewise, some say Romans or Celts where there before Vikings.) The weird plane tail on the helmet is for the North Atlantic Aviation Museum. The stone is a stone harpoon point of the Dorset who lived in Point de Chios. The chest is for the unique pirate cultural history of the island. It is 9” x 12,” drawn with pencil and charcoal and completed recently. New Brunswick-loyal

The courting shepherd who proved to be young Lord MacDonald and Percy who would not yield swear to the mystic stones that I am Clan Morrison of Lewis. The powder that flies for moth wings and highlight of water swear to stone of ink that I am an artist. My brother had a teacher who found God when farm machinery crushed his hand, he was from New Brunswick. The oldest active community stated in the 800s BC. While it was part of Acadia, the Acadians can back after the American Revolution. New Brunswick way sort of unique in that she signed the Declaration of Independence but were defeated by the British and the area over run with American Loyalist which due to them she separated from Nova Scotia in 1784. In 1969, New Brunswick became the first bilingual province. The Morrison heiress married a different MacDonald Laurd who changed his name to Morrison.

New Brunswick is riveted with mythology such as the witch bound by cement. The cryptid is a large lion which has been seen recently seen although it could be a cougar it could also be the thought extinct North American Lion which here is a a boys band with that name there as is depicted in the piece. The waterfall is Fall Brook Falls. The axe is for the World’s Largest Ax in Nackawic which is 23’ solid steel blade and the axe stands 50 feet.  This symbolizes the importance of the lumber industry in the provence. The flag on the handle is the flag of the province which is the crest of the duchy of Brunswick ( what she is named after) and became the flag officially in 1965.The Mace with the “GIVR” is as of 1937 the official mace of New Brunswick. It is 9” x 12,” drawn with pencil and charcoal and completed recently. If you are interested in buying this or any other of my work email me at MatthewMorrison76@gmail.com to order.

Ontario-Canada

The three witch’s knots which sunk the ship from Lewis Island and MacPhail’s Pit which he dug after he died swear I am Clan Morrison. The quick sketch pad always at hand and abnormal pencil swear I am an artist. Ontario is a greater expression of the country. My former pastor was from Ontario from the farm country. I left the house in Indiana with a pit.

Ontario has a special mythos. Its cryptid lives under Toronto. A witch’s house is preserved in Plum Hollow. Behind everything on the far right side of the piece is national parliament building called “The Hill” which was completed in 1869.Be hide everything on the far left side is the CN Tower which is 1,814’ tall and was complete 1975.  Behind everything and what things are resting on is Horseshow Falls (Canada’s Niagara Falls) which makes up 90% of Niagara pours over Horseshoe Falls. The weird Teepee is a wigwam from Sainte-Marie-au-Pays-des-Hurons which is a reconstruction of a Franco-Huron village in the 1639. The sandal on stilts is the Bata Shoe Musium. The goalie is for the Hockey Hall of Fame in Toronto. It is 9” x 12,” drawn with pencil and charcoal and completed recently. North West Territory-the rest

The three lost light house keepers of Eilean Mor and the ship wrecks in the Hederdies sing to the wing that I am Clan Morrison. The smell of Charcoal and pastel and the spatter of Sumie declare me an artist. I had a few good friends from the North West Territory, two missionary kids and one native Inuit which is a great description of the territory. The MKs told me that they had a deep freezer that they only turned on during the summer.  They had more Canadian flags up then the other Canadian from the College. The Inuits stills whisper to the wind for food to come to them. (Nunavut which left in 1990 gets it from an airplane and complains about prices.) The Inuit loved when the icy winds blew across the field. (It was Florida and nearly everyone else drove the hundred yards to avoid it.) The Inuit was also the only one of my friends from the Territory without thick Canadian accents which were stronger than my pastor from Ontario and in deep thought they would go, “ohhhhhh.” The first time I met her I thought she was Japanese to which she responded “Soooo which language was that, eh?” In 1870, North West Territory was all of western Canada. In 1905, it was dissolved and became a colony of Ontario. The old NWT became the Northwest Territories, Nunavut, Yukon, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, northern Ontario, and northern Quebec. It reorganized in the 1960s to more or less what it looks like now. Texas has a lot of lighthouses.

The mythos of the North West Territory is special. There is a myth that Japanese tourist make pilgrimages to NWT because a child conceived under an aurora will be gifted. (Japanese complete deny it.)Behind everything is the Richardson Mountain which was named by the failed Franklin expedition. The church behind the waterfall is Lady of Victory Parish a.k.a “igloo church.”  The waterfall is Hatto deh Naili which is said a grandparent looking over the area. The mace in the new mace of the North West Territory created after Nunavut left in 1990 which says on it “one land, many voices.” The little fur moccasin is for the Normen Wells Historical Center which preserves Sahtu culture. The plane is for the Aviation Museum. It is 9” x 12,” drawn with pencil and charcoal and completed recently.   If you are interested in buying this or any other of my work email me at MatthewMorrison76@gmail.com to order

Alberta-Cowboy Rockies

The great sword that killed the demon dog and the small tap of the fairy lass sing the balled that I am Clan Morrison. The sketch pads that catch the perfect moment and the smell of Pastel these declare me an artist. I remember as a kid when the Astrodome was changed for a week or so to a good, old rodeo/livestock show which is the same with Calgary, Alberta. Originally, Alberta was part of the North West Territory but it was cut off fromyellow Knife when the trans-Canadian Railroad went through. Its ancient history is Indians driving buffalo over a cliff before they had horses. I ask my father what the provence wa known for and got the respose cold air hitting the Midwest. I used to have a puppy.

The Urban mythology around Alberta is unique with a room being sealed because of a haunting at the Banff Spring Hotel or a nuclear bomb shelter under Edmonton Mall. Their cryptic is Shunka Warak’in, a large wolf. None are in the piece.  Behind everything is Spirit Island in Maligne Lake which was used when Kodak first made color film to the public. Everything rests on the Glacier Skywalk which looks over the triple Continental divide. The Canon is for Fort Macleod which was established in 1878 by the North West Mounted police to stop illegal American booze.  The cow girl is for the Calgary Stampede which has been going more or less since 1912. The WTC beam is for the Military Museum. It is 9” x 12,” drawn with pencil and charcoal and completed recently.   If you are interested in buying this or any other of my work email me at MatthewMorrison76@gmail.com to order

PEI-The Polite Island

The drain of Sir Godfrey Macculloch and the oats of the fairy queen sing to the meadows that I am Clan Morrison. The latex that binds chalk powder and the reeds that are carved into pens breathe that I am an artist. I communally listen to a denominational weekly message on Youtube © from PEI (Prince Edward Island) also, there veggies are cheaper then Asian veggie. Prince Edward Island is the birth place of the country’s confederacy which it only joined in lou of finical problems. I like oatmeal.

Prince Edward Island is consumed with its own mythos. Behind everything is a replica of Dunvegan  castel in Kensington and is the major draw to the senter of the Isand being fist open to the public in 1957.The bottle pew is from the chaple of the bottle house which was bult in 1980’s which for all the buildings has about 30 00 bottles. The cross monument is for the Grand Derangment monument of Port-la-Joye—Fort Amherst which commutates where Cajuns were kick out. (PEI is very polite.)The anne of Green Gables Hat is for the book which was written there in 1911. It is 9” x 12,” drawn with pencil and charcoal and completed recently.   If you are interested in buying this or any other of my work email me at MatthewMorrison76@gmail.com to order

Saskatchewan-Land of Rivers

The Green Mountain that Ronald found refuge and the great hero Cuchullin whose car was as Nature itself, these gave the blast that I am clan Morrison. The waft of hair spray and the ancient coldness of a snow setting declare me an artist. Roy Rogers was my first introduction to Saskatchewan. I knew someone from there who said it was big as Texas. The name means the river that flows swiftly. Its claim to fame is i its fight for Irish independence in the 1880’s. When the railroad came it made it the wealthiest province. I am bound to a weird land.

Saskatchewan has a very special mythology. The lake behind everything is Candle Lake which is called that is the Native once candle on the far north end at night when no one was there. The bridge over the lake is sky trail the longest pedestrian bridge in North America at 3,000 foot span. The weird horse in the water is the Turtle Lake Monster which residents have said is a large sturgeon. The “Pool” grain elevator which operated until the 1970’s is in Bent one of the provinces many ghost towns. Everything rests on the Flag of Saskatchewan which was designed by an Englishmen who barley lived in the province and made it with construction paper the tommy gun is for the Tunnels of Moose Jaw where booze were sunk into the US. The Mounty  is for the RCMP Heritage center in Regina ironically run by a nongovernmental organisation. It is 9” x 12,” drawn with pencil and charcoal and completed recently.

The name of this piece is Russian Girl, is 5”x8” and drawn with pastel on cardboard recently. Recently America does not like Russia. I find that the card bored extenuates the skin color and shadow. Yukon-Goldrush

The sharpness of the of the Claymore’s great blade and MacPhee’s black dog that saved him from the mermaid howl that I am Clan Morrison. The strong, bold colors by shades of black in sumie and the bright powder of pastel sing that I am an artist. The Yukon Territory has been given the last identity of the west. Ironically, the Yukon is confused with Alaska even after “Sergeant Peston of the Yukon.” The area way said to be the final resting place of Sir Franklin in his search for the Northwest Passage. Twenty years after that a Hudson Bay Company came to the territory.  In 1886, gold was discovered on the Rabbit River. This drove thousands of Americans over the frozen Rockies of which many died on the trail. The gold rush lasted until the 1920’s. The Alaskan Highway moved the capital to Whitehorse from Dawson. The Yukon is still into mining.  In the 1970’s, the first nations got legal deeds too their lands.  My Fist dog was black.

The Yukon has a special mythology with such as the poem the “Cremation of Sam MacGee.”The mountain behind everything is from Ni’iinlii Njik (Fishing Branch) Territorial Park which is the largest territorial park in the Yukon. The old hotel is for Dawson, the origin of the gold strike which was once called the “Paris of the North” which now has only a few thousand residents. The sign on the back of the hotel in the “Whitehorse Inn sign” in the MacBride Museum of Yukon History which was built in the 1950’s to preserve the history. Everything rests on the deck of Takini Hot Springs which started in 1907 and had three owners. The weird sign is Sign Post Forest which is started from the construction of the Alaska Highway. The steam boat is the Klondike II which ran freight on the Yukon River until 1950. The hut is from Trondek Hwechin Cultural Centre of the Champagne Aishihik First Nations.  It is 9” x 12,” drawn with pencil and charcoal and completed recently.   If you are interested in buying this or any other of my work email me at MatthewMorrison76@gmail.com to order.

Spirit of Wolf-Woodland protecter

The Great-Hand that finished the piper below "Heart of Midlothian" and Mac Fadyen’s fairy dog that saved him in the haunted cave howl with the ghost of Culloden that I am Clan Morrison. The spirit of thick ink that is hand ground and the chalk of the trees sing that I am an artist. In the Highland, roam a creature with the body of a man but the head of a wolf, according to legend. Also, according to legend the last wolf of Scotland was killed around the mid-1700s.  It was said that Dogscame from friendly wolves. The only wolf I think I saw in nature was a large canine walking through a small town at night during a snow storm. I live bag pipe music.

Spirit of Wolf plays on this mythology. This was inspired by the movie Balto. One sees a howling wolf in the Northern Lights but tracks are leading to that point. The evergreens are a symbol of eternal life. It is 5” x 8,” drawn with pastels and completed December 2016. Labrador- Nature

Culm’s corn of the Little Old Man of the Barn and the wheel of the Little Red Dummy whisper to the wind that I am Clan Morrison. The Chi of soot and paper that is barely there and the forcing of Zen declare me an artist. I am from the bayou or Acadiana and part of old Acadia was Labrador.  Because of the seclusion, Labrador is quintessential Canadian. Ironically. The name is more associated with the dog breed. I tried growing corn once.

Labrador has a special mythology. This  the weird animal on the canoe is Kuekuatsheu which is on X-men Origin Wolverine which is from the Innu mythology who are native to Labrador. Behind everything is Torngat Mountains.  The church on the right is one of the two surviving Moravian Churches in Labrador which have been there sense 1752. The roller on which everything rests is the historic warehouses in-the-harbour of battle harbour-battle-harbour. The canoe is for the Labrador Heritage society.  It is 9” x 12,” drawn with pencil and charcoal and completed recently.  The Beaver is the Crytid being that it is said that a 700 pound beaver lives there. The stone knife in front of the canoe is from Forteau Point from a culture about 8, 000 years ago. If you are interested in buying this or any other of my work email me at MatthewMorrison76@gmail.com to order.

The flowers of the mugwort prescribed by the mermaid on a blackstone by which the child died sing the  bonnie, bonnie ballade that I am Clan Morrison. Dumpster diving for art supplies and colors of charcoal swear that I am an artist. I was born on the edge of the Bayou and the Bayou Rondez-Vous has been in Montreal. I knew one guy from Quebec when I lived it Texas. He lived next to one of the houses for which I mowed. My Dad bought him a Canadian flag. He taught English at the local community college. Québec (Originally Kebec) was colonized by France because of a massacre of French Protestants in Florida. Cardinal Richelieu made the area catholic and made Montreal into a major trading hub. (In spite of this, Quebec did send a representative to the Synod du Desert or underground French Protestant convention in 1715.) Because of the battle of the Plain of Abraham, Quebec was given to England. In the 1960’s, the police protested with a walk off. Québec declared independence with French recognition, but the Mounties stopped it. This created a situation which ended with French being the only language in the province.   I broke stone by cooking them and breaking them in cold water.

The La Chassegalerie goes that the devil gave some loggers or fur traders a flying canoe to visit their loved ones on New Year’s Eve; however on the way back they were so drunk that they hit the top of a tree and were never heard from again. The Water fall on the fall right side behind everything is Montmorency Falls. It is actually taller than Niagara but narrower. When It freezes the bottom is called the “sugar pile.”The Castel on the right is the Fairmont Le Château Frontenac. T was originally the home of Louis de Buade, Count of Frontenac who governed New France from 1672 to 1698. I became a hotel in 1899.  They rest on hills of Hautes-GorgesDE-LA-RIVIÈRE-MALBAIE national park. Everything is on the Flag of the Provence of Quebec. The Flag of Quebec has gold fleurs de lys and was use as a colony of France. The cross is the Croix du Mont Royal which replaced a wooden cross the Sieur de Maisonneuve for deliverance from the flood on 1643. The cannon is for the Battle Field where Québec fell to England.  The hexagon building is the ice fish shack. It is 9” x 12,” drawn with pencil and white charcoal and completed recently. If you are interested in buying this or any other of my work email me at MatthewMorrison76@gmail.com to order.
