Alberta-Cowboy Rockies
The great sword
that killed the demon dog and the small tap of the fairy lass sing the balled
that I am Clan Morrison. The sketch pads that catch the perfect moment and the
smell of Pastel these declare me an artist. I remember as a kid when the Astrodome
was changed for a week or so to a good, old rodeo/livestock show which is the
same with Calgary, Alberta. Originally, Alberta was part of the North West
Territory but it was cut off fromyellow Knife when the trans-Canadian Railroad
went through. Its ancient history is Indians driving buffalo over a cliff
before they had horses. I ask my father what the provence wa known for and got
the respose cold air hitting the Midwest. I used to have a puppy.
The
Urban mythology around Alberta is unique with a room being sealed because of a
haunting at the Banff Spring Hotel or a nuclear bomb shelter under Edmonton
Mall. Their cryptic is Shunka Warak’in, a large wolf. None are in the
piece. Behind everything is Spirit
Island in Maligne Lake which was used when
Kodak first made color film to the public. Everything rests on the Glacier Skywalk which looks over the triple Continental
divide. The Canon is for Fort Macleod which was established in 1878 by the
North West Mounted police to stop illegal American booze. The cow girl is for the Calgary Stampede which
has been going more or less since 1912. The WTC beam is for the Military
Museum. It is 9” x 12,” drawn with pencil and charcoal and completed
recently. If you are interested in
